For those of us that fight on a daily basis to further our careers and make a better life for our family, we understand that things don't always go our way. We don't get the promotion we deserve or something out of our control knocks out our best laid plans. But, years later we can look back at that watershed moment and know that these challenges made us better, stronger.
We have a tremendous opportunity to purge the Republican party of the Trent Lott, Tom DeLay types that are more interested in making friends at DC cocktail parties, blathering on Sunday talk shows, and, most importantly, feeding campaign coffers. In fact, Republicans can learn from the Demon-crats, whom in the aftermath of the 2004 elections, vowed to be more left wing in upcoming elections.
It is now time for new blood in the Republican party. In 2012, we need to do the following:
- Rebuild Republican image with volunteers who are more willing to advance the party ideals than beaucratic careers or becoming some sort of Centrist party.
- Leverage grass roots level technology, expanding beyond AM radio to Internet-based technologies and fund-raising tools, such as Blogs, YouTube, etc.
- Focus efforts to oust blue-blood Republicans.
